The Harvest Festival
October 21, 2007
A great Success!

Laughter, smiles, and "Halt, you're under arrest!" filled the air in the Ben Shelton Memorial Gymnasium. The Festival was a great success, not only in the fundraising (total raised about $1,000) but also in the FUN having!

From the face painting to the silent auction of baked goods, from the Gourd Bowling to the apple bobbing, from the horse rides to the yummy mexican enchiladas, from the veggieburgers to the ice cream floats ... it was all good. By far the most exciting, though, was the Lone Star Jail. Sheriff Dennis Shelton and Deputy Dallas Roberts were busy all night long. There were jail breaks and prisoners running loose, but for the most part prisoners were compliant and patient and waited out their time in jail. Just about everyone spent some time in the jail. But if you feel left out, there is always next year!
